§ I · Drafting

Drafts that sound like your partner wrote them.

Drafting on Grasperly is not a chat that emits a template. It is your firm's clause bank, your cadence, your way of structuring a pleading — with verified citations woven in line and partner-style review marks already on the margin.

§ II · What it does

Trained on yourfirm's drafts, not on the open web.

i.Your clause bank, your structure.

Upload prior drafts, prior contracts, prior opinions. Grasperly indexes them as your firm's voice — the way a senior partner phrases an obligation, the order in which you brief facts, the boilerplate the founding partner refuses to part with. New drafts inherit that voice; they do not inherit ours.

ii.Citations woven in line, not appended.

When the draft asserts a legal proposition, the supporting sygnatura is placed at the end of that sentence — not buried in a przypisy block at the bottom. The pismo reads like a cited memo from the first paragraph. The court reads it that way too.

iii.Review marks, not just text.

Where the draft makes a judgment call — “this is the strongest available citation, but a weaker one from 2024 is also on point” — Grasperly leaves a margin mark for the reviewing partner. A draft never claims certainty it does not have.

§ III · A worked example

Apelacja in a consumer case — see what the draft does.

Brief · apelacja · sąd okręgowy

First-instance court dismissed the consumer's claim against the bank. We are appealing on grounds of misapplication of k.c. art. 3851.

Grasperly opens the matter, pulls the first-instance judgment from the DMS, and identifies the controlling SN line: where a clause grants the bank a unilateral right to modify prowizja during the term, the test under k.c. art. 3851 § 1 is whether the consumer could foresee the modification at signing.[1] The lower court applied the kontrola incydentalna test; the SN line requires kontrola abstrakcyjna for this clause class.[2]The draft frames the apelacja around this distinction in the firm's own structure — podstawy apelacji, stanowisko strony powodowej, wniosek — with three supporting sygnatury woven into the relevant paragraphs.[3] A margin mark on paragraph 14 notes that the 2024 SN ruling is more recent but applies to a differently-shaped clause; the partner decides whether to include it.

FAQ.

How does Grasperly learn our firm's voice?
You upload between 20 and 200 prior drafts to a sandboxed onboarding workspace. Grasperly extracts your clause patterns, structural conventions and house style; no client-identifying data is retained beyond what the firm chooses to keep. The trained voice belongs to your tenant only.
Can two partners have different drafting voices?
Yes. Voice profiles attach to either a partner, a practice group, or the firm as a whole. Most firms ship with a single firm-wide voice plus a "litigation" override for partners whose pleadings read differently from their opinion work.
Do you draft in English for cross-border matters?
Yes. The drafting surface supports Polish, English and Swedish output. Cross-border matters can ship a parallel-language draft with both versions reviewed against the same citation set.
Can a partner reject a margin mark and keep editing?
Margin marks are advisory, not blocking. Accept, reject, or rewrite — the matter records the choice. Grasperly learns from acceptance patterns over time so margin marks get sharper, not noisier.
What file formats are supported?
Docx, doc, odt and pdf for input; docx and pdf for output, with track-changes preserved. Word add-in renders Grasperly's panel beside the live document.
§ House style

A draft that doesn't sound like the firm wrote it is a draft the firm has to rewrite. Voice is not a feature; it's the floor.
